As most of you already know, we try to support Belgian charity ‘Kom Op Tegen Kanker’ (vzw) as best we can. That’s why Les Jumelles joined forces with charity Kom op tegen Kanker to light up Belgium for the battle against cancer by donating €1500. Every fundraiser that purchases a lantern is raising vital funds for breakthrough research in the hope of achieving a cancer free future. Les Jumelles purchased 50 lanterns that will illuminate the front and interior of our pop-up store to form a catwalk for (former) cancer patients to receive a standing ovation to give their fighting spirit that extra little boost. This little light show is for all of you, and especially for Magalie’s father who is fighting against bone cancer.
In addition to our participation in creating the biggest lightpoint, we are also supporting charity Think Pink in the fight against breast cancer.
"In our country, 1 woman in 8 is still affected by breast cancer. In 2018, 10,905 women and 104 men were diagnosed." - Think Pink vzw.
These numbers truly rattled us. To lend our support to those affected, up until the 31st of December 2021, you can find a pink ribbon box in our pop up store in Antwerp. All proceeds will be handed over to Think Pink to support other healthcare projects.
